I'm going to miss his great "Dadisms". Saying good night by saying "sleep horizontal". Never eat on an empty stomach. What kind of Chocolate Pie do you have for desert? What time is it? Why it's lunch time of course! DEELISSUISSS! ELEGANT! I like pie but it gets in my ears! It's not surf and turf, it's hog and frog! All you can eat? Oh really! Do something, even if it's wrong! Miss you so much Dad...

To Phyllis,Valerie, Brent, David, Arlene, and all of the Pique Family,
For more than 33 years Kathy and I have known Charlie's family. Of all the things that struck my wife and I the most was how Charlie loved his family and would always be there for them. It most definitely shows in how he raised his children and the values he instilled in them. Our heart's ache for all of you and we are left with such a void in our lives. While we so wished that we could have attended the service our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We have lost not only a wonderful man who was like a father to us, dedicated husband to his bride Phyllis, but the consummate professional who loved live and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone. May the Lord keep you safe in his arms until we are together again.
All Our Love,
Dave and Kathy Branks

To Charlie's family:
I am so sorry of your loss of Charlie.
I met Charlie about 12 years ago when he visited the City of Belmont. I believe the city was having their yearly picnic that day. Charlie stood so big and tall. He had a wonderful smile on his face - he seemed larger than life. He also had a wonderful sense of humor that was very unique. It was fun to be around him.
He was doing some software work for the city, which is still being used by the police department today.
As time went on, he was so proud of his daughter Valerie for being in charge of the IS department, She was eventually appointed IS Department Head.
The last time I saw Charlie, he was in a wheel chair, no longer the big, tall man but his soft voice still had the humor he always had.
Goodbye Charlie - you will be missed.
